COVID-19

Unger Nursing Homes Ltd. announces Mandatory Vaccination policy

Unger Nursing homes Ltd. is joining other long-term care organizations that have made Covid-19 vaccination mandatory for those entering our homes.

As we continue to face the Covid -19 Pandemic and rates of infection once again increase in communities across the country, we recognize that unvaccinated employees are more likely to bring the virus to work.

Due to the frail and vulnerable nature of our residents, this puts them at significant risk for increased disease and death. The safety of our residents in Long-Term care, who trust us to provide the care and services they need, is paramount.

This mandatory vaccine policy will increase the level of safety for both residents, families, and employees as well as improve the quality of life by reducing the need for isolation and disruption of daily activities that result from outbreak restrictions.

For these reasons, both Unger Homes have implemented a MANDATORY policy for all employees effective October 1, 2021.
